Canadian Atheistic Satanic quintet IDOLATRY are coming close to release their debut full length, “Visions From The Throne Of Eyes”, at the end of March, in CD format (LP version will be out in May) via Humanity’s Plague Productions .
The Edmonton band has unveiled the second part of the title track, “Visions from the Throne of Eyes (Pt II)” and you can stream it below, after reading a few words from vocalist Lord Matzigkeitus:
“Visions from the Throne is the evolution of Idolatry’s sharpening sword. Vast, richly layered evils, intent on killing, punishing. It is in parts ambient, in parts rabid fury. A swirling madness that conjures every sorcery this band ever hinted at and made exponentially and frighteningly real. There is no black metal album comparable to this one. It is unique in its sophisticated attack and scope… Tie yourself to its cold table and let yourself be tortured”

The Toronto based band released their four track debut EP “Opus I” during November 2015 and this is the closing track.
Band founder Oscar Rangel shared a few words about this song:
“I believe ‘Maya & the Wolf ‘ is the most interesting song in the album, its sound is very classical, yet the story telling in the lyrics and the instrumentation gives it folkish undertones as well. This is the song we chose to produce a lyric video for because we believe this is the most “relatable” song in the EP and yet it still sounds heavy and it is clear that its part of a metal album. The instrumental part in the middle is one of the many “band solo” sections I have worked over the years using mainly the counterpoint composition technique, where all the instruments play different melodies at once to build up a very interesting sounding passage.”
