The new video from Canadian melodic death/thrash outfit DEAD ASYLUM features some nasty stuff being done with a cheese grater and a woman’s leg. It also features a good amount of melodic death metal delivered by the four-piece band.
Mike Lister (vocals/guitar) had this to say about the new video:
“We had a disturbingly fun time filming the video. All the actors and crew were great and unbelievably professional. Josh [director] was amazing at bringing out the best in the cast and definitely brought the best out in us. We can’t thank him enough for it! It’s exciting to be able to give people a look into the idea of Dead Asylum.”
Heavy / power metallers SONIC PROPHECY are streaming two new tracks, ‘Temple of the Sun’ and ‘Legendary’, from their second full-length album, “Apocalyptic Promenade”, released in March by Maple Metal Records. The label has also re-released Sonic Prophecy’s debut album “A Divine Act of War” (2011) in Europe, UK, Asia and worldwide in March.
“Apocalyptic Promenade” was produced by Matt Hepworth and Sonic Prophecy members Shane Provstgaard and Darrin Goodman, at Studio Nu, and mastered at Mastermind Productions by Trevor Sadler (Rush, Nine Inch Nails, Triumph). The cover art was designed by renowned artist Aldo Requena ‘Valgorth’ of Hammerblaze Studios, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The two tracks can be streamed below:
Italian symphonic power metal band REASONS BEHIND have released an official video for the song ‘With Your Light’. The video was directed by Francesco Brusa and filmed on location at the Hotel Touring Bologna (Italy).
‘With Your Light’ is a song taken from the album “The Alpha Memory”, a concept album produced by Olaf Thörsen (Vision Divine, Labyrinth) earlier this year. The album was mixed and mastered by Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance, Subhuman).
Three years after their latest full-length, ILSA are back delivering a new set of occult-inspired doom / crust songs. “The Felon’s Claw” is the name of the new record, out on A389 Recordings, next May.
You can hear the opening song, ‘Oubliette’, streaming in the player below:
After the 2012 debut, “Burnt By The Light”, Costa Rica’s CORPSE GARDEN are back with a new album entitled “Entheogen”, which will be released next May 15th on both Russia’s Satanath Records and Germany’s RTM Productions, with North American distribution through Sevared Records.
‘Suspended Over The Abyss’ is the first single out from the new album and you can stream it below, right after you read a few words from Felipe Tencio, the band’s lead singer:
“Completely Different. This album is dark, dense and aggressive. However, there are certain parts of it which focus mainly on psychedelic, hypnotizing passages that help build the atmosphere we want to create. We were immensely influenced by 70’s progressive rock bands for this album so it’s a more experimental approach to death/black metal.”
Taken from “Trapped”, their latest released album, ‘Modo Regressivo’ (Regressive Mode) is the new video from Portuguese veteran crusters SIMBIOSE and you can watch it below:
PURSON, whose music touches a variety of realms including folk, prog, psychedelic, gothic and classic rock, have joined forces with Spinefarm Records for a worldwide deal that will see their second studio album, ‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’, released later this autumn. The band is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to ‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’, which will be released under the Spinefarm / Machine Elf Records banner.
“As I sit here in the control room at Gizzard Studios, the pride of East London, I’m excitedly realising that our second album has turned out to be everything I’d imagined and more! My world has been so consumed by it that I’ve barely been able to reflect on what it has become: a technicolour variety show, a playful display of the musical whims only briefly hinted at in our previous work; a psychedelic rock opera dedicated to our good friends Sarge Pepper and Zig Stardust.” Rosalie Cunningham (vocals / guitar)
