Starting at the beginning of April, Brazilian veterans CLAUSTROFOBIA are taking the European stages by storm with their Visceral Tour 2015, which will take them through Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Poland!
The band recently started working on their next album, expected to be ready at the end of 2015, but meanwhile they’re releasing a DVD to coincide with the tour and also to celebrate twenty years of bringing their punishing thrash from Brazil to the worldwide stage.
Marcus D’Angelo (vocals/guitar) commented on this release:
“The DVD, Visceral 20 Years, is a résumé of our career up until now, it also closes one circle and another begins. It was produced totally independently; there is no major company involved. It includes live material recorded at Peste Fest plus documentary material, with many images and videos that were never published before. There are also all our video clips and other bonus materials. It’s very special to be able to share to both old and new fans alike a bit of these last 20 years.”

Here’s a lyric video from Brazilians SISTEMA SANGRIA who will have their self titled debut album released on CD for the first time, after the initial vinyl pressing. Aside from the songs on the vinyl release, this reissue will have their songs from a 4-way split and their contribution for the Ratos de Porão tribute and Nitrominds tribute.
Birmingham has spawned a good handful of Heavy Metal legends and masters, but that doesn’t mean the place has stopped production when it comes to heavy riffs and meaningful music to us all. Enter ALUNAH and their third full-length album, “Awakening The Forest”, released on Napalm Records last year. Below you can watch the lyric video for the title song from that same record:
The thrash metal / groove band MERIDIUS gathered inspiration from the main character in the movie Gladiator when choosing their name and they also chose to stream their self-titled EP on Bandcamp and Soundcloud for everyone who wants to give them a listen. So head-over to one of their pages and stream the 3 song EP, while reading what Peter Riemann (bass) had to share about this effort:
“We are extremely proud of this EP, it is merely a taste of what’s to come. It is a relentless mix of pit-stirring thrashers, crunchy grooves and epic melodies sure to send thrashers and metal fans alike into a frenzy! We would like to also give a special thanks to Matt Roach who produced and mixed the EP, he’s extremely talented at what he does and were glad to be associated with him. Any bands based in Vancouver should contact him!” Peter Riemann (bass)
As a way to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their EP “Comando Blasfêmia”, the band AMAZARAK will release a special edition of that record, adding the Brazilians first demo, “Officinarum” and with a fresh new cover from artist Raphael Grizilli. The reissue will be handled by Nuktemeron Productions and Impaled Recordz.
In other news, AMAZARAK is also getting a couple of splits ready, one of them with NERVOCHAOS and another one with a huge name from the Brazilian scene. The band is also working in pre-production of their new album, the follow-up to “Ascensão do Anticristo”.
The Cavalera brothers are back with a new album from their CAVALERA CONSPIRACY endeavor and word on the street is that it sounds pretty great! Check out the lyric video for the song ‘Not Losing The Edge’, taken from “Pandemonium” and judge for yourselves:
