[review] THE ATOM AGE – The Atom Age EP (2013)

# THE ATOM AGE - the atom age EP

The Atom Age EP
(Asian Man Records – 2013)

A while ago I listened to a preview from one song from THE ATOM AGE and it got me curious and enthusiastic. The song in question, I found out later, was called ‘Too Much Fun’ and Mike, from Asian Man Records, was kind enough to hook me up with this EP! Now it’s on my list of things to hear as much as possible, because it’s just that good!

Their own description for what they do reads something like horn tinged 21st century rock ‘n’ roll, but you can also think about high energy garage-punk with major influence from Rocket From The Crypt! Their songs are very upbeat and you can’t stop shaking your legs once you start listening to them! They’re very contagious to say the least! “Too Much Fun” takes the prize for most times played while writing this review, before, after and I’m pretty sure a couple more times once I’m done, but the garage rock influenza spills over “Bad Boy Problems” and “When You See Me Hurt”, as well! I can’t take these choruses out of my mind and my feet keep stomping the floor! What kind of sorcery is this? It’s awesome!
